Is Sanaya Irani roped in opposite Barun Sobti for Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3?

Sanaya Irani has not been roped in to play the female lead opposite Barun Sobti in IPKKND 3.

Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani took the Television industry by storm with their crackling chemistry in their hit show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.

As soon as the makers announced a sequel to the show, fans couldn't wait to watch their favourite onscreen jodi yet again. However, they were left disappointed after the news of a new female lead broke. Makers have now roped in Shivani Tomar to play the lead opposite Barun, who is all set to make his small screen comeback with IPKKND 3.

Amidst all this, reports started doing the rounds that producer Gul Khan has apparently managed to rope in Sanaya Irani to play the lead in the show. The report further started that Shivani who was earlier to play the main lead will now play a parallel lead in the show.

According to the report, Sanaya was supposed to make her television comeback with Kavya Ki Prarthna, but she apparently walked out of the show a couple of days back, due to constant delays.

Well, as much as we would love to have Barun and Sanaya back, the news is not true.

When we contacted Gul to confirm the news, she refuted the report saying that it is not true. Further, when asked if there is a plan in place to get Sanaya onboard too, Gul answered in negative.

In the meantime, the promos of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3 have already been released and Barun has been creating a rage with his new rusty look.

Will Barun and Shivani be able to recreate the same magic again? Let us know in the comments below.

Move on, says Barun Sobti on Sanaya Irani not being a part of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3

There is a lot of speculation among fans that Sanaya will be back in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Season 3

Considering Barun Sobti is making his small screen comeback with his lucky show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, fans are obviously curious if Sanaya Irani will make it, too. But a source from the makers told T2 Online yesterday that Sanaya has so far not been approached for the role. Sanaya, too, said last week that she wasn't asked to be a part of the show's new season. But fans of the franchise are relentlessly breaking their heads over speculation if Sanaya will make a comeback in IPKKND in its upcoming third season as a parallel female lead.

When asked about it, maintaining his quintessential care-no-less-smirk, Barun asked fans to chill and move on in life. He said that whether Sanaya is there or not, fans will definitely like his and Shivani Tomar's pairing once the show starts airing. He added that by questioning his and Shivani's pairing, the audience is actually maligning his dignity of an actor.

As an actor, I feel if you more bothered about the casting, it actually hampers your chemistry with your co-actor. It’s almost like breaking one's dignity.

"I really hope that they like what we (Shivani and I) are doing this time. But having said that, life is all about moving on. In life, we chill and calm down when certain things happen. So, it holds true in TV shows also. 2011 (when IPKKND Season 1 aired) will not go on forever. In 2017, things need to change, and they will change," Barun told T2 Online.

Barun and Sanaya's crackling chemistry made Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon immensely popular back in 2011. Their impact was so much that when Barun quit the show to have a career in films, the channel had to end the show as fans only wanted to see Barun in the lead. Then came the show's sequel, without Barun or Sanaya. It failed to create the hype that the first part did. And now, once again, after a gap of six years, the makers have decided to bring in the third season with Barun in the lead.

Barun says that before taking up the project, he never inquired about who will be cast opposite him. "As an actor, I feel if you are more bothered about the casting, it actually hampers your chemistry with your co-actor. It’s almost like breaking one's dignity. And there are various factors, which make a show hit. It’s not only the pairing but also the other things," said the actor. And we agree. After all, his debut pairing with Surbhi Jyoti in the web series Tanhaiyan has been impeccable too.
